Air Traffic Automation
Improving weather capabilities for controllers and aviators, including expanded deployment of the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) and AWOS Data Acquisition System (ADAS) in Alaska, as well as future weather product development and implementation via the NextGen Weather Processor (NWP).
Weather Systems
Managing components of the FAA's research and development portfolio, and making foreign travel safer for Americans who travel abroad under the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI).
Strategic Planning
Transitioning systems and networks to fully leverage IP technology (TDM-to-IP), securing data via Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities, developing System Wide Information Management (SWIM) services for controlled data access, and building Remote Monitoring and Logging (RMLS) tools to support FAA Technical Operations.
