We are seeking an Automation Tester to join our Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Local candidates with the ability to work onsite in Egg Harbor at the William J. Hughes Technical Center are preferred but will also consider Remote Candidates. RMLS is the FAA’s logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to work independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment. Candidates have experience with IOS and Android Automation Testing as well working knowledge of Appium.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Full-time, standard flexible work schedule, occasional non-standard work hours

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years related work experience in a computer science or math field, Or
- Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and nine (9) years related work experience in a computer science or math field, Or
- PhD or Doctorial in a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in test automation of web-based and mobile applications; API and performance testing experience is a plus. This individual requires:
- To provide expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and/or maintenance of complex computer systems.
- Experience with software programming in the languages used for the NAS and NAS supported systems, such as C, C++, JAVA, SQL, and Assembly.
- C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Database development in Oracle/SQL.
- Test Automation using test tools such as Selenium, MSTest, NUnit, ExtentReports, Jenkins, Appium, and/or Playwright.
- Writing test documentation, such as test cases/procedures and reports.
- Mobile testing with a strong focus on iOS/Android applications.
- Appium and XCUITest for mobile automation.
- Mobile app release cycles, provisioning profiles, and deployment pipeline.
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Prior FAA Test experience.
- Experience with API Testing using Postman.
- Performance Testing using JMeter.
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) framework for automation testing on .NET applications, such as Specflow.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Provide 2nd Level Engineering support for RMLS.
- Collaborate with agile teams to develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications in alignment with FAA requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure software reliability, security, and performance in real-time environments.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Schedule daily automation test runs and reports during development and testing on multiple platforms and browsers using Jenkins.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing.
- Provide detailed reports on test results and recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with manual testing as needed.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives within an Agile team environment.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
